When Custom-Fit Golf Swings Rule the World

I just woke up from the greatest dream.  

In the dream, a colleague and I were at a driving range where we happened to see a golf instructor teaching a swing method to a student (i.e. teaching the golf swing he believed was right, as opposed to helping the student uncover the swing that fit their body best).

That alone would have been more of a nightmare, but instead, it was an awesome feeling, incredibly positive dream because an amazing shift had taken place in the golf industry. 

My colleague and I were quietly discussing how unbelievable it was there were still a handful of instructors in the world teaching a swing method when nearly everyone – amateurs and pros alike – had already switched to a CUSTOM-FIT swing.

Hallejulah!  The golf world had awakened.  Golf professionals worldwide were showing their students how to uncover their unique swings.  The days of struggling with confusing, contradictory, awkward-feeling swing methods were long over.

We had done it!  We had educated the golf world on the numerous differences between a swing method and a CUSTOM-FIT golf swing, and shone a light on the overwhelming benefits of the CUSTOM-FIT swing process.

Once golfers had realized how much easier it was to learn a CUSTOM-FIT swing, how much faster they achieved results; and how much better it was on their bodies; and once they had experienced how much longer, straighter, and more consistently they hit the ball, swing methods no longer made sense, and CUSTOM-FIT golf swings had quickly become the norm.

As a result, golfers were hitting the ball better than ever.  For the first time in over 100 years, the average handicap was actually lower. Even better, people who had seriously considered quitting the game, were playing more rounds than ever and enjoying every minute because the fun was back in their games.

Then I woke up.  And, happily, when my dream dust cleared and I remembered how far we temporarily are from the reality of my dream, I didn’t have any negative reaction to it.  Instead, I felt more hopeful and determined than ever to see that dream turn into reality. 

Right now, we are in the beginning stages of this monumental shift.  The few of us who have already made the shift know there is a long road ahead.  But, we also know it’s a journey worth making. 

One step at a time, one swing at a time, the shift is already taking place.  The future is very bright indeed!
